An important moment on our farm is the release of snail fry into the field! This is one of the most important stages in cultivation, because the quality of the future harvest depends on it. Carefully, step by step, we form a healthy and productive population.
Releasing juvenile snails onto the field is an important event for our farm!
On May 28, one of the key events of the season started at Fastsnailfarm — the release of juvenile snails onto the field. This year, we planted about 40 kg of young Helix Aspersa Muller snails, which were lovingly raised in our breeding facility.
The work lasted several days — first, we populated one half of the field, and by June 4 we completed the settlement across the entire area. The whole family took part in the process — me, my brother, mom, dad, and one assistant. Each snail was placed by hand, with care and the experience we gained last season.
Before that, we renewed the perko crops — this plant is a natural starter feed for snails during their first weeks of life in the open field.
